Huffy appoints GM for Tommy Armour
Tuesday, October 4, 2011
Huffy Corp. has hired Kirk Peglow to be the new general manager of Tommy Armour Golf. Peglow, former vice president of sales at Wilson Golf, will oversee sales, marketing and product development for Huffy’s Armour, Ram, TearDrop and Zebra brands. Peglow also will hold the title of Huffy’s vice president of global golf.
Huffy is in the process of moving its golf division from Toronto to Springboro, Ohio, as part of a corporate consolidation that will result in the elimination of about 100 jobs. That consolidation included the March 22 announcement that Huffy is selling its Gen-X Inc. division, which it bought in 2002, to a group headed by the founders of Gen-X. Huffy’s four golf brands had been part of that division, but were not included in the sale.
