Harvard women take Ivy League title
Harvard won its second consecutive Women’s Ivy League Championship Sunday, holding on for a two-shot victory over Yale at Atlantic City Golf Club.
Harvard junior Claire Sheldon played her last 10 holes in 1 under and finished third, a shot ahead of senior Emily Balmert. Ivy League freshman of the year Christine Cho also finished fourth.
With the victory, the Crimson advances to NCAA regional play.
Harvard has now nine times in its last 10 events dating back to last year.
Princeton senior Susannah Aboff won the league individual title for the second year in a row. She closed with 72 to finish at 3-over 219, five shots ahead of Yale sophomore Harriet Owers-Bradley, who made eight birdies in a final-round 70.
