MALELANE, South Africa – Spain’s Pablo Martin shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday to take a two-stroke lead over three-time winner Ernie Els and fellow South African Charl Schwartzel in the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Martin, four strokes ahead at the start of the round, had a 14-under 202 total on the Leopard Creek Country Club course. He led by five shots during the third round, but made a double bogey on the 14th hole and parred the final four holes.
Els, the 1995, 1999 and 2006 winner, double-bogeyed the 11th, but rallied to birdie five of the last six holes for a 69. Schwartzel shot a 68.
