Sorenstam expecting girl in the fall
Annika Sorenstam is having a girl.
The retired former LPGA star made the announcement Thursday on her Web site. She is due in September.
“To use golf terms, we just ‘made the turn’ from a timing standpoint and are very excited that everything looks good so far,” Sorenstam said.
In mid-March Sorenstam announced she and husband Mike McGee were expecting their first child. Sorenstam, 38, and McGee married in early January near their home in Orlando, Fla. McGee has served as Managing Director for the ANNIKA brand since Dec. 2006.
Sorenstam retired from competitive golf at the end of 2008. She won 72 LPGA tournaments.
