Player of the Week: Shugo Imahira
Shugo Imahira, of Saitama, Japan, shot 5-under 139 (67-72) at The Naples (Fla.) Beach Hotel and Golf Club to win the Future Collegians World Tour’s Naples Beach Challenge by one shot.
Imahira, 17, finished fourth at the FCWT event held in Tampa, Fla., in September, his only other event on that tour this year. Imahira had four birdies in five holes on the back nine in Round 1 to help him secure the first-round lead. He started Round 2 with a double bogey at No. 2, but rebounded with a birdie and finished at even par.
