Ringler’s ringers (Women)
Here are my picks for the upcoming women’s season:
No. 1 team: USC. What the Trojans were able to accomplish last season after losing a pair of All-Americans was impressive. With three top-10 players (Jennifer Song, Lizette Salas and Belen Mozo) returning this year, USC needs only a little help from the bottomof the lineup to dominate.
No. 1 player: Jennifer Song, USC. After being No. 1 as a freshman, then winning the U.S. Women’s Public Links and Women’s Amateur titles, it’s hard not to select Song.
Keep an eye on: LSU (team), Michigan State senior Laura Kueny (individual).
Surprise sleepers: Washington (team), Texas sophomore Nicole Vandermade (individual).
