The PGA Tour announced its 2011 Champions Tour schedule on Friday afternoon, highlighted by trips to Canada, South Korea and England.

Much of the schedule looks familiar, but two major championships moved venues and to earlier in the year: The Senior Players Championship and the Regions Tradition. The Regions will be held in May (previously held in August) and moves to Shoal Creek near Birmingham, Ala.

The Senior Players will be held at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, N.Y., which has never hosted a Champions Tour event. The tournament will be held in mid-August.

"We're excited about the momentum we gained coming out of 2010, and we look forward to continuing that momentum in 2011," Mike Stevens, president of the Champions Tour, said in a press release "To add prestigious venues like Shoal Creek and Westchester speaks to the rise in stature of the Champions Tour. We anticipate some thrilling competition from our world-class players next season."

The 2011 season begins on Jan. 17 in Hawaii, and the first full-field event will be Feb. 7 at the Allianz Championship in Boca Raton, Fla. The final event of the year will be the Schwab Cup at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco starting on Halloween.

There are two events on the calendar with yet-to-be determined sponsors, which the Tour says it will announce in the coming weeks.
