Bud Cauley told Golfweek that he has changed his mind about turning pro and will return to Alabama.

Cauley, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Fla., was No. 4 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings before tying for 36th last weekend in the NCAA East Regional, where the Crimson Tide placed ninth and did not advance to the NCAA Championship.

“I enjoyed being a part of a team,” said Cauley, who was one of three finalists for the Hogan Award, which honors college golf’s top player.

That’s good news to Alabama head coach Jay Seawell.

“Why wouldn’t I want him back?” Seawell said. “He only makes our team better.”
