LSU has received good news from one of the top players in the 2012 class. Zachary Wright, of Phoenix, has decided to play for head coach Chuck Winstead, according to his father.
Wright, ranked No. 10 in the 2012 class, was considering Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Arizona State.
“Zach chose LSU because coach Chuck Winstead runs a first-class program with outstanding facilities and support staff,” said his father, Don. “In addition, it is a great university to further his education where he plans to major in business accounting.”
Wright, a junior at Pinnacle High School, was recently named to the Rolex All-American honorable mention list. He posted four top-10 finishes in AJGA events this past year, including a ninth-place showing at the Ping Invitational at Karsten Creek. Wright also advanced to the Round of 16 in the 2010 U.S. Junior Championship.
