McGladrey renews sponsorship of Fall Series event
Monday, December 5, 2011
Tax and business consulting firm McGladrey has extended its title sponsorship of the PGA Tour Fall Series event it helped create in 2010.
The new three-year agreement calls for the firm to back The McGladrey Classic through 2015.
“The McGladrey Classic provides us with a unique opportunity to build relationships with clients and potential clients, supports our long-standing tradition of giving back to the community and raises awareness of the McGladrey brand,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO for McGladrey & Pullen, in a statement.
The tournament, scheduled for Oct. 15-21, will continue to be held on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Resort on Georgia’s southern coastline. The acclaimed layout, which opened in 1929, was designed by Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison. It was renovated by Tom Fazio in 1999.
Sea Island resident Davis Love III serves as the tournament chairman, and his foundation is the event’s host organization.
For 2011, the tournament, along with the firm’s Volunteer Day, raised $300,000 for Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia and other local and national charitable organizations.
