The Golf Writers Association of America has named Luke Donald, Yani Tseng and Tom Lehman its 2011 players of the year.
Donald, who won the year-end money titles on both the PGA and European tours, was a runaway winner, finishing with 88 percent of the vote to earn his first GWAA POY award. Keegan Bradley was second with 19 percent of the vote.
Tseng, who also won this award in 2010, won 12 times this year - a total that included two majors. She also won the Rolex Player of the Year award for 2011, and led the LPGA in scoring and money.
Lehman also has won this award before, in 1996. He was a three-time winner this season on the Champions Tour and finished atop that tour’s money list.
