Knutson (NR, 2012) commits to Detroit Mercy
Aaron Knutson of Lake Orion, Mich., has give a verbal commitment to play college golf at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Knutson, who attends Notre Dame Prep, made unofficial visits to Detroit, Miami of Ohio and Dayton.
“I chose Detroit because it will give me the best opportunity to continue my golfing career,” Knutson said. “It will also give me a very good education and to get a degree to help me succeed.”
Knutson won the 2011 Michigan Divison III individual state championship and placed in the top 10 at the AJGA Randy Wise Junior Open.
