Eastern Michigan made up six shots on Notre Dame during the final round of the Hoosier Fall Invitational on Tuesday, leapfrogging the Irish to earn its second win of the season.

The Eagles trailed Notre Dame by six and Illinois by two after the first two rounds at Crooked Stick in Carmel, Ind. Eastern Michigan shot 15-over 303 in the final round to finish at 48-over 912 for the tournament, one shot ahead of Notre Dame. Illinois was third, another five shots back, followed by Nebraska in fourth and host Indiana in fifth.

Eastern Michigan also won the Nittany Lion Invitational on Oct. 2. The victories sandwiched a third-place finish Oct. 11 at the Mid-American Conference Preview. At the Hoosier, the Eagles claimed four players inside the top 11, including Sarah Johnson in third.

Notre Dame’s Becca Huffer won the individual medal at 4-over 220. It’s the first win of her career. Wichita State’s Gretchen Huhnerkoch was second at 7-over 223, followed by Johnson, then Notre Dame’s Kelli Oride and Nebraska's Madeleine Sheils in a tie for fourth at 8 over.
