Moosavian (No. 174, 2012) commits to Georgetown

Matthew Moosavian of Westerville, Ohio, has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at Georgetown. Moosavian took unofficial visits to Miami of Ohio, Akron, Lehigh and Pennsylvania.

Moosavian, who is the No. 12-ranked golfer in Ohio, attends St. Charles Prep in Columbus. His classmate Nate Yankovich has committed to Iowa.

“I chose Georgetown because of its academic and athletic reputation,” said Moosavian, who tied for ninth place at the AJGA Lockton Kansas City Junior in July. “It had been a dream of mine to play golf for Georgetown since I was in middle school.”
