BATON ROUGE, La. – Austin Gutgsell shot 7-under 65 in the final round of the LSU National Invitational on Sunday to win his second college title and lead the LSU men’s team to a two-shot victory over Iowa at its home event.

LSU also got a 4-under 68 from Andrew Presley (T-3) and an even-par 72 from Sang Yi (T-9) in the final round, as the Tigers shot a 9-under 279 and finished with an 11-under 853 total at the University Club. LSU, which also won the tournament last year, had trailed Iowa (287-855) by six shots heading into the final round.

Iowa also had three players in the top 10: Steven Ihm finished fifth at 3-under 213, and Barrett Kelpin and Ian Vandersee tied for seventh at 1-under 215.
