Last week's winner Carl Pettersson was showing signs of a breakthrough after second-place finishes at the Sony Open and the Shell Houston Open.

This week, a pair of our panelists believe that another Swede will win his second career PGA Tour title.

Fredrik Jacobson doesn't own a stellar 2012 resume, with only three top 20s, but he was runner-up at the Valero Texas Open in 2011.

Another player made two of our panelists' lists: Harris English.

The former University of Georgia standout is 50th in the FedEx Cup standings, with only one top 10 on the season.

As for our panel, Jim McCabe retains his lead over Alex Miceli, while Lance Ringler had a second straight stellar week, this time riding Zach Johnson's second-place finish at Harbour Town to move past the $4 million mark. We are also tossing Ryan Lavner into the fray, giving him an opportunity to try and catch the rest of the group.

Here is a look at this week's picks:

Rank Winner Wild Card Last Week
Rude Matt Kuchar

Has four top 10s in his last five starts. So he's up to his old tricks again, rattling off high finishes.

Charley Hoffman

Coming off a T-8 at RBC Heritage.

Winner: Matt Kuchar ($16,473); wild card: Ernie Els (MC). 2012 total: $4,364,737.

McCabe Harris English

Has steadily impressed this rookie season, most recently with a T-8 at Hilton Head. Texas stops sprung surprises in 2011 (Brendan Steele at Valero, Keegan Bradley at the Nelson), and English is cut from that same sort of mold.

Vaughn Taylor

With a good many top-ranked players taking the week off, it's wide open, so here's a hunch on a guy who has been putting up some decent efforts. He's made the cut in each of his last six tournaments and four times he's finished T-21 or better.

Winner: Bud Cauley ($24,510); wild card: Ernie Els (MC). 2012 total: $5,734,609.

Martin Fredrik Jacobson

The Swede was fifth here last year, and is coming off a 19th-place finish at the Masters and 67th-place showing at the Heritage.

Harris English

The rookie has finished in the top-25 in his past two starts (Houston, Heritage), giving him five such finishes in 10 starts this season.

Winner: Brandt Snedeker ($85,500); wild card: Brian Harman ($11,343). 2012 total: $3,326,629.

Miceli Brendon de Jonge

He's in the middle of a five-week stretch and looking to post a win.

Ryan Moore

An unorthodox game for an unorthodox golf course.

Winner: Jim Furyk ($153,900); wild card: Jeff Maggert ($16,473). 2012 total: $5,310,881.

Ringler Fredrik Jacobson

He is the No. 2 ranked player in the field according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index and has good form at this event. Three consecutive top 5s in this event, including a runner-up finish last year.

Chris Stroud

Has not played well in this event in the past, but has had some very good moments this year. In nine starts, Stroud has five top 15s.

Winner: Zach Johnson ($615,600); wild card: Brian Davis ($106,875). 2012 total: $4,062,059.

Lavner Bud Cauley

Has three top 20s in his past four starts. It’s a matter of when, not if, for this kid. So why not in San Antonio?.

Johnson Wagner

In the midst of a career year. Tied for 15th here last year.
