Indiana leapfrogs Iowa for Boilermaker title
Indiana used a 6-under 282 - the lowest round of the tournament - to overcome an eight-shot overnight deficit to Iowa to win the Boilermaker Invitational on the par-72 Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
Scores
The Hoosiers were eight shots off the lead after both the first and second rounds, while they were also the only team to break par on Sunday. It was Indiana's second tournament title of the season after a T-1 at the Firestone Invitational in October.
Illinois' Luke Guthrie, No. 22 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Individual Rankings, used a final-round, 5-under 67 to move from T-7 to the individual victory. Overnight leader Rafael Becker fired a 4-over 76 to drop to fourth place. Iowa's Barrett Kelpin was second, one shot behind Guthrie, while Indiana's David Erdy was third. Only the top three players broke par at the tough Kampen Course.
