Bridgestone J40 hybrids
Friday, January 3, 2014
Bridgestone is focused on making clubs for skilled golfers – the J40 hybrid lineup includes 2, 3 and 4 hybrids, and that's it. The respective lofts are 18, 21 and 24 degrees.
These are genuine hybrids, smaller in size and not necessarily related to the fairway woods. Whereas the J40 3-wood and 4-wood each have heads that measure 190 cubic centimeters, the J40 hybrids have volumes of 119 (2 hybrid), 115 (3 hybrid) and 110 (4 hybrid) CCs.
A tungsten weight near the heel is used to optimize the center of gravity in each of the hybrids. Like the drivers and fairway woods, the hybrids have square faces.
The J40 line come standard with True Temper Project X Hybrid shafts. The retail price is $179.99.
