Tour Edge Bazooka Max-D45 fairway woods
Friday, December 20, 2013
With a name like "Bazooka," this white-crowned fairway wood for the budget-minded golfer is definitely not subtle.
Like the driver of the same name, the Tour Edge Bazooka Max-D45 fairway woods have an aerodynamic head shape that allows them to slip through the air more effectively on the downswing to create more clubhead speed.
Constructed from 17-4 stainless steel, the Bazooka Max-D45 fairway wood has a thick face in the middle and thinner face around the edges. This enlarges the sweet spot and helps players achieve maximum distance across a broader area of the hitting area.
A pair of weights have been internally added to the sole – one in the heel and one of the toe – to increase the moment of inertia (MOI) and make the clubs resist twisting off-center hits more effectively.
When first released, the clubs were available in lofts of 15, 19 and 22 degrees with a Tour Edge UST VTS 5 series graphite shaft for $119.99.
