Top-seeded Williamson in North & South semifinals
Peter Williamson entered match play at the North & South Amateur Championship as the top seed after claiming medalist honors.
After two rounds of match play Friday, he is still in it.
Williamson beat Bryson DeChambeau 2 up and Finley Ewing IV in 19 holes to move on to Saturday's semifinal matchup against Matt Ewald.
Ewald beat Clifford Blanquicet Jr. 4 and 3 before defeating Ben Juffer 2 and 1.
The other semifinal matchup pits David Erdy against Thomas Bradshaw.
Erdy downed Trevor Cone and Thomas Sutton each by a score of 4 and 3. Bradshaw notched wins over Case Gard (6 and 5) and Albin Choi (2 up).
The semifinals will begin at 8 a.m. while the final will start a 1 p.m.
