Dartmouth's Peter Williamson after winning the 2011-12 Ivy League Championship

PINEHURST, N.C. - Peter Williamson played bogey-free golf for 15 holes at the North & South Amateur final, defeating Thomas Bradshaw, 4 and 3. Both players were under par early, but it was Williamson, the recent Dartmouth graduate, who refused to blink as his steady play wore on Bradshaw, a rising junior at Clemson who won the recent Rice Planters Amateur.

A bogey by Bradshaw on the 490-yard par-4 eighth hole put him 2 down, and he could never get back into the match. All the while, Williamson, of Hanover, N.H., would give no ground to par, and when he birdied the 13th hole to go 4 up, he would need only to halve the next two holes for the victory.
