LAFAYETTE, La. - Led by a 1-2 finish from sophomore Andrew Presley and senior Sang Yi, the LSU men’s team rolled to an 14-stroke victory Tuesday at the Louisiana Classics.
The Tigers, No. 18 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, shot three consecutive under-par rounds and finished at 17-under 847 at Oakbourne Country Club en route to their first team victory of the season. Tulsa and SMU tied for second at 3-under 861.
Presley shot 68-68-70 to finish at 10-under 206 and earn his first college victory, by three shots over teammate Yi. Philipp Fendt of host Louisiana-Lafayette finished third at 210.
