Edwin Watts enters Iowa market with acquisition
Continuing to expand its national footprint, Edwin Watts Golf Shops LLC announced March 19 the establishment of its first location in Iowa.
The retailer accomplished the move by acquiring a Golf Headquarters facility in Cedar Rapids. The 10,000-square-foot location adds to Edwin Watts’ portfolio of stores, which now exceeds 90 shops in the United States.
“Establishing new locations in strategic markets throughout the Midwest allows us to better support our vendor partners in new communities,” said John Watson, CEO of Edwin Watts Golf Shops.
Edwin Watts, based in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., also complements its retail business with direct-catalog sale and an e-commerce Internet operation. Edwin Watts is an affiliated portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners Inc.
