LPGA Championship will return to Rochester in '13
Tuesday, November 13, 2012
The Wegmans LPGA Championship will return to Pittsford, N.Y., in 2013, the LPGA said Tuesday. The event, which is the second major championship on the LPGA schedule, had been the biggest question mark on next year's schedule.
The Wegmans, to be played June 6-9, will be played at Locust Hill Country Club for the fourth consecutive year. It will be the 37th consecutive year that the LPGA has made a stop in suburban Rochester.
Golf fans in western New York have extra reason to gear up for 2013. The PGA Championship will be played two months later at nearby Oak Hill Country Club.
