Alabama won the SEC Championship for a fourth consecutive victory this spring and a fifth title this season. It’s only the second SEC Championship in program history – Alabama last won in 2010, but finished in the top 3 the past four years.

The Crimson Tide, ranked No. 2 by Golfweek, trailed LSU by one shot entering the second round, but led Mississippi State by 12 shots entering the final round. Cold, rainy conditions plagued the tournament, and Alabama finished 54 holes at Greystone Golf Club in Birmingham, Ala., with a 35-over 899. Georgia, No. 18, was the next closest team, and finished second with a 49-over 913 total.

Four Alabama players finished inside the top 20. Stephanie Meadow won the individual title with an even-par 216. Jennifer Kirby was T-11 and Hannah Collier, a member at Greystone, finished T-14. Emma Talley, the freshman who last week won the ASU/Ping Invitational title, finished T-19.

South Carolina, No. 38, was solo third at 54-over 918, and Vanderbilt, No. 9, was fourth, one shot behind the Gamecocks.
