Fresno State has hired Emily Milberger as women's head coach, the school said Friday in a news release.

Milberger coached the last two seasons at Montana, where the Grizzlies earned a team win and two individual wins, the lowest scoring average in school history for a season, a school record for a three-round total and 38 individual top-25 finishes.

"It was very clear throughout the search process that Emily brings to Fresno State a top-flight professional skill set and a passion for the game that will ensure the continued growth of our women's golf team into one of the finest of the Mountain West Conference," athletic director Thomas Boeh said.

Milberger, a four-time academic All-American while playing at Oklahoma from 2001-05, replaces Angie Cates-Moore, who coached the Bulldogs for nine seasons.
