Coming off a seven-shot victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Tiger Woods padded his lead in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Woods, who won the Bridgestone for the eighth time on Sunday, leads second-ranked Phil Mickelson by 5.63 points. Woods has been the World No. 1 since winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March, a victory which put him just more than a half-point in front of then-No. 2 Rory McIlroy.

Keegan Bradley, who tied for second at Firestone, moved from No. 17 to No. 10. One spot behind him is Henrik Stenson, who was also T-2 in Akron, Ohio. Stenson, who entered the year at No. 56, has three finishes or T-3 or better in his last three starts.

• Gary Woodland moved up 116 spots to No. 152 after his victory at the Reno-Tahoe Open. After the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Woodland was No. 37 in the world – he had won earlier that season, too, at the Transitions Championship. But entering this year's Bridgestone, Woodland found himself at No. 268 and winless since his victory in Tampa, Fla., in 2011.

• Ben Martin had a similar rise to Woodland, rising from No. 230 to No. 161 after his victory at the Web.com Tour's Mylan Classic. It's the second victory in five starts for Martin, who was as low as No. 582 in the world at one point this season. Martin has five top-10s in his last six starts, and 16 finishes of T-29 or better in his last 19 starts.
