14. New Mexico

2012-13 Golfweek ranking: 5

Go-to guy: Junior Gavin Green

Season outlook: The Lobos had quite the season in 2012-13, posting five victories – including the Mountain West Conference title for the first time since 2006 – and four runner-up finishes, then advancing to match play at the NCAA Championship for the first time in school history.

Repeating that success, however, won’t be easy. James Erkenbeck, a first-team All-American who won the NCAA Columbus Regional last season, graduated along with fellow starters John Catlin and Benjamin Bauch.

But head coach Glen Millican still has plenty left in the tank. Juniors Gavin Green, Victor Perez and Sean Romero return, while junior Sam Saunders is coming off a redshirt season. Green finished the year with one victory and six top 10s, ending the season at No. 34 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, and Perez had seven top 10s. Freshmen Andrej Bevins, Andre Garcia and Ryan Medhaug give Millican more options at the bottom of the lineup.
