Uihlein leads by 3 at the ISPS Handa Wales Open

Peter Uihlein shot a third-round, 4-under 67 to take a three-shot lead into the final round of the European Tour’s ISPS Handa Wales Open at The Celtic Manor Resort in the City of Newport, Wales.

Uihlein, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Aug. 29, is looking to claim his second European Tour title of the season after winning the Madeira Islands Open in May.

He has four other top-10 finishes on the European Tour this season, along with five top-25s in 17 events. He also played in the PGA Championship at Oak Hill earlier this month, but missed the cut with rounds of 77-70.

Uihlein, a former Oklahoma State Cowboy, is 50th on the European Tour’s Race to Dubai money list. He has won 432,332 euros this season.
