Tumangan helps Stanford to Cal Classic title

Stanford used a career-best performance from sophomore Mariko Tumangan to defeat Arizona State by six strokes and win the Cal Classic Tuesday at Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Calif.
Tumangan finished with an even-par 144 to tie for second with UNLV's Dana Finkelstein and Demi Runas of UC Davis. Noemi Jimenez of Arizona State was the medalist at 5-under 139.
The Cardinal used a final-round, even-par 288 to finish at 10-over 586 as a team. San Diego State (597) was third, followed by UC Davis (599) and UNLV (603).
