Tiger Woods made nine birdies to take a share of the lead after Thursday's first round at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.

He made eight more on Friday, shooting 7-under 65, and will enter the weekend at 13 under and with a two-shot lead over Graeme McDowell.

Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker sit another shot back at 10 under, while Rory McIlroy bounced back with a 3-under 69.

See how it all unfolded Friday at Doral:

• • •

Hole No. 18, Par 4, 467 yards

Tiger was a little disappointed after that last birdie miss. He now looks to close out his round strong at No. 18, a hole he birdied on Thursday.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds the right rough off the tee, but gets it on the green with his approach. He misses the 25-footer for birdie and ends his round with par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 7 under (13 under for the tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 17, Par 4, 419 yards

Tiger now has 17 birdies in 34 holes. That's not too shabby. He made par at this hole on Thursday.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger bombs his drive down the center of the fairway. His wedge from less than 100 yards out sticks to about 10 feet past the hole. He misses the birdie putt, though, and settles for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 7 under (13 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Rory outdrove Tiger on that hole, but pulls his approach and makes par, as well.

• • •

Hole No. 16, Par 4, 372 yards

Tiger avoided another disaster at No. 15. He'll look to rebound at No. 16, a hole he birdied on Thursday.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger's tee ball finds the left greenside bunker at the short par 4. He hits out of the sand to about 6 feet. He then makes the birdie to get the shot back he lost two holes ago.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 7 under (13 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Rory also finds the sand off the tee and like Tiger, ends up with birdie. Rory is now 3 under.

• • •

Hole No. 15, Par 3, 175 yards

That was Tiger's first bogey of the round, but he still leads by one shot over Graeme McDowell.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger gets into more trouble, missing the green with his tee ball and then chipping past the hole again. He has a good 10 feet or so to save par. This time, though, Tiger makes the putt. Big save.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 6 under (12 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Luke Donald chips in for birdie at No. 15 to move back to even par overall.

• • •

Hole No. 14, Par 4, 460 yards

Seven birdies in 13 holes for Tiger today – a dominant performance, indeed. He's two shots ahead of Graeme McDowell, who hasn't made a bogey through his first 36 holes.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger misses the fairway right and then leaves his approach just short of the green in the left rough. That's his first missed green since his opening hole. Tiger then chips to 8 feet past. He can't save par and makes bogey.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 6 under (12 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Rory McIlroy hits his approach at No. 14 to a few feet and he makes the birdie to move to 2 under. He's 3 under on his round today.

• • •

Hole No. 13, Par 3, 245 yards

Tiger has had some luck at par 3s today. He birdied No. 4 after sticking his tee shot to about 4 feet and then hit his tee ball at No. 9 to 15 feet or so before missing a birdie.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger hits his tee shot pin-high, about 15 feet to the left of the hole. He then calmly sinks the birdie putt to stretch his lead.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 7 under (13 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Graeme McDowell birdies No. 9 to close out a 5-under 67 and enter the weekend at 11 under. Mickelson closes out a 67 with a birdie on No. 9, too, and Lefty, who stuck his tee shot on the par-3 hole to less than a foot, is 10 under after two rounds.

• • •

Hole No. 12, Par 5, 603 yards

Tiger now is three shots clear of the field at 12 under. He's birdie more than half his holes now today. He's in the zone right now.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger has to lay up and reaches the green in three. He has a 20 footer for birdie and nearly makes it, just missing left. That was a good roll.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 6 under (12 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Graeme McDowell moves to solo second at 10 under after a birdie at No. 8.

• • •

Hole No. 11, Par 4, 402 yards

Tiger has now birdied half of his holes so far today. Add the fact that he's made zero bogeys and Tiger has looked pretty dominant today.

Hole wrap-up: Another fairway for Tiger, who then sticks his approach to about 10 feet. He makes another birdie, his sixth of the day.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 6 under (12 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Some rounds are starting to be completed here at Doral, including Dustin Johnson's 3-under 69 and Hunter Mahan's even-par 72.

• • •

Hole No. 10, Par 5, 551 yards

The miss at No. 9 allows Phil Mickelson to even things back up at 10 under with a short birdie make at No. 5. Tiger can retake the solo lead at this par 5, though, even if he hasn't had success on the par5s so far today.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds the fairway and gives the green a go with his second shot, but ends up finding the right greenside bunker. He hits out of the sand to about 7 feet to set up another birdie.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 5 under (11 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: That birdie from Tiger gives him the solo lead yet again as Phil misses a birdie try at No. 6. Also, Rory birdies No. 10 to move back to even.

• • •

Hole No. 9, Par 3, 169 yards

Tiger once again takes the outright lead back with a good birdie putt at No. 8. That was his longest birdie make of the day.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger takes pitching wedge off the tee and just gets it over the water, finding the front of the green. He has about a 15 footer for birdie. This is easily his worst putt of the round so far as Tiger leaves it right all the way. He makes par to stay at 10 under.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (10 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Graeme McDowell makes his third birdie of the day, at No. 5, to move to 9 under. Also, Rory McIlroy misses a 20 footer for birdie at No. 9 and he stays at 1 over.

• • •

Hole No. 8, Par 5, 560 yards

Woods got some help from the edge of the cup on that last birdie make, but make no mistake, he looks locked in. He'll try to take advantage of this par 5 after squandering his chance for birdie or better at the par-5 opening hole.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger hits driver, but doesn't like it as he finds the right rough, almost into the gallery. He doesn't have a line at the green because of some trees, so Tiger lays up. His wedge shot doesn't spin back and he has a 12 footer for birdie. He puts a great roll on this birdie putt, which breaks right-to-left and runs downhill right into the bottom of the cup. Tiger's got the solo lead again.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (10 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Phil Mickelson sinks an 8 footer for birdie at No. 3 to pull even with Tiger at 9 under. Also, Rory McIlroy hits his second shot to about 7 feet at No. 8, but puts a bad roll on his eagle putt. He settles for birdie to move back to 1 over.

• • •

Hole No. 7, Par 4, 454 yards

Tiger playing well so far, and in all areas: off the tee, with his irons, putting. We could see another low round from him again today.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger hits another fairway before sticking his approach from about 145 yards to about 8 feet or so. Another good look at birdie for Woods and he just gets it, as it lips in. He's now the solo leader at 9 under.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 3 under (9 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Steve Stricker bogeys and Phil Mickelson birdies at No. 2 to make it a four-way tie for the lead with Stricker, Lefty, Tiger and Graeme McDowell all at 8 under. That was before Tiger birdied No. 7 to take the outright lead.

• • •

Hole No. 6, Par 4, 442 yards

Make that three great iron shots in a row for Tiger, who has now made two straight birdies.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger goes with driver, takes a big swing and likes it immediately as it finds the middle of the fairway. His approach isn't as good as the last few, though, as Tiger finds the green about 20 feet away from the hole. His birdie putt rolls just to the left of the hole and Woods taps in for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2 under (8 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Steve Stricker is now 9 under after making a 4 footer for birdie at No. 1, his 10th hole of the day. Also, Rory McIlroy chunks his chip at No. 6 and misses the par putt to drop to 2 over.

• • •

Hole No. 5, Par 4, 394 yards

There's a birdie for Tiger, whose last two iron shots have been good ones. He's still one back of the lead, though, as Steve Stricker is playing well, making the turn at 8 under.

Hole wrap-up: After finding the fairway, Tiger nearly holes his wedge shot on the approach. It takes a bounce and then nearly finds the cup before ending up a few feet past the hole. That shot sets up an easy birdie.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2 under (8 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Just as Tiger joins Steve Stricker in the lead at 8 under, Graeme McDowell birdies No. 1, his 10th hole of the day, to move to 8 under, as well.

• • •

Hole No. 4, Par 3, 236 yards

Tiger hasn't dropped any shots, but he has fallen out of the lead. Now comes the first par 3 of the day.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger puts his tee shot to about 4 feet before sinking the birdie to get to 7 under.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1 under (7 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Steve Stricker moves to 8 under and into the outright lead after making a short birdie putt at No. 17, his eighth hole of the day.

• • •

Hole No. 3, Par 4, 438 yards

Tiger left that last one just short, a putt that, had he made, would've given him the outright lead. Instead, Woods is still in a seven-way tie for first.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger hit a tree off the tee here on Thursday, but he opts for 3-wood and hits it down the left side of the fairway. Tiger's approach is his best yet as he puts it about 15 feet past the hole. He gets a good read from Rory's putt but runs it just by the right edge. Three pars to begin the day.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even (6 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Bubba Watson, Graeme McDowell and Steve Stricker have all moved to 7 under, and are all tied for the lead.

• • •

Hole No. 2, Par 4, 418 yards

Not a great start for Tiger. Rory manages birdie, though, to get back to even par heading into No. 2.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds his first fairway of the day. His approach then finds the front portion of the green. Tiger has about a 30 footer for birdie and he leaves it just short. Another par for Woods.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even (6 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Last week's winner, Michael Thompson, is 2 under through five holes today to move to 5 under. He's currently T-7.

• • •

Hole No. 1, Par 5, 529 yards

Tiger is in a white and orange shirt, beige pants and white hat today. He's playing again with Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald, who are a combined 1 under through one round – that's five shots worse than the 6-under 66 Woods posted on Thursday.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger goes with the driver and finds a right fairway bunker. He has to lay up before missing the green with his third shot. He chips to about 4 feet before making the par save.

TIGER ON THE DAY: Even (6 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Tiger is joined in the lead at 6 under by Graeme McDowell, Steve Stricker, Bubba Watson and Fredrik Jacobson.

• • •

Dustin Johnson was 7 under with two holes to play on Thursday before closing with double bogey on No. 17 and bogey at No. 18 to fall back to 4 under. Through two holes today, though, Johnson is 1 under, 5 under overall.

• • •

Update No. 1, 12:01 p.m. EST

Second-round play is underway at Doral, and Hunter Mahan and Peter Hanson are both 1 under though two holes to join what is now a seven-way tie atop the leaderboard at 6 under.
