Andy Zhang, left, congratulates Brad Dalke on his victory at the 2013 Ping Invitational.

As I am writing this, I'm currently on a plane to Charlotte, N.C. After I get there, my mom and I will drive to West Virginia to The Greenbrier for the Nick Faldo Grand Final. I can't wait to get there and get the tournament started!

My two most recent tournaments were the Duke of York Trophy at Royal St. George's Golf Club in Sandwich, England. The course has hosted many Open Championships and is a very historical and beautiful place. I even got to meet Prince Andrew! The other tournament was the AJGA Ping Invitational at Karsten Creek in my home state of Oklahoma. I won the tournament and it was very exciting!

The Duke of York was such a fun trip because I had never been to England before. Fellow Golfweek blogger Nicole Morales and I were selected to represent the United States. Rachel Graves, a tournament director for the AJGA, took us and chaperoned us at the tournament. She is from England so she knows the area and really made the tournament special for us.

I didn't play as well as I wanted and shot 77-76-74. The wind and rainy conditions made it extremely tough. The boys and girls were all competing for the same trophy and I finished up in 15th place. It was a new experience for me playing links golf and it will be an experience that I can learn from and use for the future!

Nicole was the lowest-scoring girl. She played really well and it was nice to see her beat up on most the boys and me!

Brad Dalke celebrates his winning birdie putt at the 2013 AJGA Ping Invitational.

The AJGA Ping Invitational was such an awesome experience, not only because I won, but also because a lot of my family came out to watch. It was in my home state, and, as an Oklahoma commit, I notched a win on my rival's (Oklahoma State) golf course!

I shot 73-70-72 (1 under) to win by one shot over Andy Zhang. I was four strokes up the last day through seven holes and then he started making a comeback. We were tied through 12 holes and then he bogeyed No. 13 for me to get the lead by one.

We tied the rest of the holes, including No. 18 after he hit it to tap-in range and I had to make a 7-footer to win. I played it half a ball out to the left and drained it!

It was so much fun and it made my weekend a lot better after my Sooners got whooped by the Texas Longhorns in football! The whole summer I was hitting it well and couldn't score and it was nice finally getting everything together and make some birdies. I had 16 birdies and the next closest was 11.

I want to thank Rachel Graves for being an awesome chaperone in England and making the trip so much fun! I also want to thank my parents, family and friends for coming out to watch in Stillwater at the Ping. Their support means so much to me and I couldn't do it without them! I will let y'all know how I do at The Greenbrier and until next time . . . Boomer Sooner!
