Central Florida comeback snares Northern title

The Central Florida men's team rallied from an 11-shot deficit in the final round to capture a season-opening victory Sunday at the Northern Intercollegiate.
The Knights, led by runner-up Greg Eason, shot a 5-under 283 in the final round to finish with a 2-over 866 total at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., one shot better than Virginia (287) and three better than third-place Houston (297), which had led the tournament after the first two rounds before faltering on the final day.
Central Florida started the final round in fourth place, 11 behind Houston, before getting a 5-under 67 from Eason.
Houston's Roman Robledo shot 68-70-73 to finish at 5-under 211, holding on to the individual title by one shot over Eason and two over Liberty's Chase Marinell.
