Elsa Moberly has given a verbal commitment to Mississippi State for the fall of 2015. The 16-year-old from Science Hill, Ky., is 41st in Golfweek’s junior rankings for the Class of 2015.

Moberly, who plays for the girls golf team at Pulaski County High School, names future golf goals as winning an NCAA team championship and eventually playing on the LPGA tour.

“I know at Mississippi State it can be done,” she said. “The university is beautiful, and it is a great fit for me.”

Moberly also chose Mississippi State because of the opportunity to work with head coach Ginger Brown-Lemm and assistant coach Leigh Phillips.

Moberly played in the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links (T-146) and the U.S. Girls’ Junior (T-73). She was runner-up at the AJGA’s PNC Bank Junior and third at the RTC Junior All-Star at Ringgold in the past year. readers: We value your input and welcome your comments, but please be respectful in this forum.
