If Texas can repeat what it did at the Bayou City Collegiate Championship last year, it will likely be happy with the result.

The team won by 21 strokes with golfers in the top three spots on the leaderboard. The Longhorns, No. 20 in the Golfweek Rankings return to the event Friday through Sunday at the The Golf Club of Houston's Tournament course.

But they'll have five additional teams that appear in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings' top 50 putting up a fight.

The field also includes Arkansas (No. 19), Baylor (No. 28), Charlotte, Houston (No. 17), Houston Baptist, Lamar, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, New Mexico State, Rice, South Carolina (No. 25), South Florida (No. 21) and Texas-San Antonio.

Arkansas won its first event of the spring, taking the Gator Invitational by six strokes. Two Razorbacks placed in the top five of the competitive tournament.

The course is 6,982 yards long, and the tournament is co-hosted by Houston and Rice.

Two golfers listed in the top 25 of the Golfweek/Sagarin Individual Rankings will tee off at the tournament. USF's Chase Koepka is ranked No. 5, and Arkansas' Sebastian Cappelen is No. 18.
