Patrick Reed carded his third straight 9-under 63 on Saturday to take a commanding seven-shot lead at the Humana Challenge.

Reed, who is 27 under overall, has now fired a 63 on all three courses – the Nicklaus Private and Palmer Private courses at PGA West, and La Quinta Country Club. Reed played the Nicklaus course on Saturday.

Sunday's final round will be played on the Palmer course. Brendon Todd and Charley Hoffman are the closest competitors at 20 under.

Reed has a couple PGA Tour records in his sights, too: the 72-hole scoring record of 254 set by Tommy Armour III at the 2003 Valero Texas Open, and Steve Stricker's 72-hole under-par record of 33 under, which he set at the 2009 Bob Hope Classic.

Here's how it happened Saturday in La Quinta, Calif.
