No. 1 USC tops Pepperdine, UCLA at Bruin Wave

No. 1 USC got its revenge on its second-ranked UCLA and more at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday. The Women of Troy claimed a 13-shot victory at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif.
USC lost its first tournament of the season last week at the hands of UCLA at the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The team has won nine of its last 10 tournaments.
USC players occupied the top three spots on the leaderboard after the final round. Sophomore Kyung Kim finished on top with a 3-under 213 total. She shot rounds of 70-73-73. Junior Doris Chen and sophomore Annie Park, No. 2 in the Golfweek rankings, finished in a tie for second on Tuesday at 2-under 214.
No. 11 Pepperdine finished in second at 12-over 876. UCLA, who was just five-shots back of USC after the second-round, shot 20-over 308 in the final round for a third-place finish at 22 over. Arizona finished at 35-over 899 for fourth place, and the Oklahoma State Cowgirls finished in fifth at 39 over.
