Jason Day withdrew Monday from this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, a thumb injury preventing the Australian from taking the course.
Our David Dusek spotted Day trying to make a go of things before he put in for a WD.
Just saw Jason Day here at Bay Hill. His left thumb is heavily taped. It can't be comfortable. #Golfweek— David Dusek (@Golfweek_Dusek) March 17, 2014

In a statement issued when he withdrew from the WGC-Cadillac Championship two weeks ago, Day said he endured pain in the thumb while winning the WGC-Accenture Match Play.
Day represents one of six field changes listed by the PGA Tour for this week. Also out are Roberto Castro, James Driscoll, John Huh, Spencer Levin and Charl Schwartzel. In are Charlie Beljan, Morgan Hoffmann, J.B. Holmes, David Lingmerth, Hudson Swafford and Jhonattan Vegas.
