Ashley Crain joined Golfweek in April 2009 as on-air talent and consultant for fashion and lifestyle. Crain graduated from Old Dominion University with degrees in communications and journalism, and served as team captain for the women’s golf team. She appeared on The Golf Channel’s “Highway 18” with Ashleigh Korzack.
• First set of clubs: Wilson Staff junior irons. My staff bag that was bigger than me.
• Best golf shot seen live: In the final round of the 2000 Canadian Open, Tiger Woods’ 6-iron out of the bunker from 213 yards to 6 feet.
• Best 18-hole score: 68 at the East Carolina Pirates tournament in the fall of my senior year. It was pouring rain and I went from 26th place to second!
• Dream foursome: Me, my fiancé (KC), my Dad, and Tiger at Augusta National in March.
