Turnstile Publishing Co., parent of Golfweek magazine, has acquired a custom-publishing business – a move that diversifies Turnstile’s media assets and complements its industry-leading golf franchise.
Orlando, Fla.-based Turnstile, which already publishes custom-titles such as Chicago District Golfer and Arizona The State of Golf, added Vincent Publishing to its portfolio. The Sarasota, Fla.-based company has been a fixture in the custom-publishing industry for more than two decades and has gained recognition for its event programs – most notably for numerous PGA Tour tournaments. Vincent also publishes lifestyle magazines for exclusive residential golf communities.
“By adding an organization that parallels not only our company’s focus, but also reputation and commitment to quality, we are ensuring our growth and viability in this ever-changing market,” said Clayton Morris, Turnstile’s president.
Turnstile’s acquisition also will encompass all of Vincent’s brand extensions, including Web sites, licensing agreements and events.
“Joining the Turnstile family not only gives us further support in our core areas of strength, but also enables us to grow exponentially in our range, reach and capabilities,” said Michael Hagmann, Vincent’s president. Hagmann will serve as publisher of Turnstile’s custom-publishing division and be responsible for all of its operations.
