HONOLULU – As he looks toward his 49th birthday (Aug. 1) and probable Champions Tour career, Brad Faxon has planned a busy 2010 season of competition.
Now, it has gotten even busier.
That’s because Faxon has reached agreement with NBC to join their team for coverage of seven PGA Tour tournaments. Though he’s stopped into the NBC booth on several occasions over the last few years, when he reports to work for the CA Championship (March 11-14) it will be his official debut as a TV guy.
What will follow are assignmets for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Players Championship, U.S. Open, Deutsche Bank Championship, BMW Championship, and Tour Championship.
“They’ve been great to work with,” Faxon said, “and it’s worked out so that I could also play if I were to qualify for any of them.”
Faxon is starting his season here at the Sony Open, where in 2001 he earned one of his eight PGA Tour wins.
