Fashionably speaking, the 2010 PGA Tour season may have started mildy, but dull and drab is not the word I would use to describe the colorful display we saw on the weekend. Tropical colors took over from the sea of whites, khakis and blacks that were on display early in the week.
We’ll have to give the boys a full week to show their threads next time because they sure stepped up their weekend attire.
Colors were definitely seen on the weekend at Kapalua. Lucas Glover teed it up on Saturday in a vibrant Aster Pink Contrast Stitch UV Polo that retails for $65.
Bryan Gay, wearing Sligo, and Ryan Moore, in an unknown brand, each looked sharp in their brilliant blues. Gay opted for white pants and a sharp-looking alligator belt, while Moore paired his black pants with a white belt. Their shirts fit just right, the short sleeves that leave enough room for full range of motion, which is first and foremost when playing.
The element I loved the most was that little extra flair – the belts.
So, as for the PGA Tour being off to a drab start in 2010, I’ll give them a B-.
They may have started off a little slow, but it’s still early. So far so good in my book.
