Where can you find Natalie Gulbis this year? Try everywhere. The popular tour player has committed to all 24 events on the 2010 LPGA schedule. (And the crowd goes wild.)
Considering her recent health record, however, don’t bet the farm.
“I think as long as I play golf, I’m going to have good and bad weeks with my body,” said Gulbis, who withdrew from the last two events of 2009.
In addition to her back problems, Gulbis also battled the flu for several weeks last year.
“The way that we travel now – internationally – it’s never easy on the body,” she said.
Gulbis struggled last season with her iron play and has spent a good deal of time with instructor Butch Harmon over the offseason. She ranked 47th in greens hit and notched only two top-10s.
“Stats don’t lie with golf,” she said. “I have plenty to work out.”
Gulbis missed last week’s PGA Merchandise Show due to a minor laser procedure. She’s back working with Harmon as I write this (Tuesday afternoon).
