Scott Wolfes, the 98th-ranked player in the 2011 class, has given a verbal commitment to Georgia Southern coach Larry Mays.

Wolfes told Golfweek he chose Georgia Southern out of a final three of Auburn and Kennesaw State.

“I like the schools and golf facilities and coaches a lot,” Wolfes said. “I believe that Coach Mays and Coach Collins can help me improve my game and take it to the next level.”

This past summer, Wolfes recorded a pair of top-10s – tying for ninth at both at the AJGA Junior at Steelwood and SJGT at TPC Junior Classic.
