AUGUSTA, Ga. – Forget all that talk about the bad luck drawn by Steve Sticker, Ian Poulter and Yuta Ikeda, the threesome that played in the group in front of Tiger Woods Thursday at the Masters.
According to Sticker, it was business as usual.
“No effect at all,” he said. “You didn’t even notice it, to tell you the truth. It’s usually crowded at all these greens and it was no different today. People aren’t running up ahead to get into position. It was really a non-factor.”
When asked how it was to play in front of Woods, Poulter offered one word: “Fine.”
Poulter tied his best score at Augusta National – a 5-under 67. Stricker shot 73 and was tied for 45th. Ikeda, playing in his first Masters, had 70 and was at T-17.
