Booth, 18, added to IMG roster

Carly Booth is barely 18, yet she already has a Ladies European Tour card and four corporate partners.

Booth has signed with global sports management company IMG, and also recently announced partnerships with Gleneagles (home of the 2014 Ryder Cup), Lomond Audi and Aberdeen Asset Management. Booth also is sponsored by Nike.

Booth secured LET playing privileges at Q-School in 2009 after an illustrious amateur career that includes a win at the European Junior Masters and a spot on the 2008 GB&I Curtis Cup team, where she was the youngest GB&I player in the event’s 76-year history. Booth, who topped the European Junior Rankings in 2007, finished 13th in her first professional event – the Ladies Scottish Open – at the age of 14. She is the youngest Scot to qualify for the Ladies European Tour.

“I am very excited to be joining IMG,” said Booth. “They are the best in the business and manage so many of the world’s best players that I admire. I am delighted to have four such prestigious corporate partners back me even before I have proved myself out on the professional tour and it gives me a real confidence boost to be managed by a company with such a strong track record. Their support gives me the freedom to concentrate entirely on playing good golf and I hope I can justify their faith in me with a win soon.”

Booth has maintained a limited schedule while at Glenalmond School but will soon hit the tour full-time.
