Ping, which was founded in 1959 as a putter company, is actively continuing two traditions 51 years later: Making some of the best putters in golf, and choosing some of the most distinctive putter names in golf.

So Jose Manuel Lara won the Austrian Open with a Ping Half Pipe putter. This followed a European Masters victory by his fellow Spaniard, Miguel Angel Jimenez, with a Ping Scottsdale Pickemup.

Lara actually got his Half Pipe from Jimenez. Because supplies of the new Half Pipe are limited, Jimenez gave his personal putter to Lara.

The result? Jimenez scored an immediate victory, and Lara, after missing nine straight cuts, finished fourth at the KLM Open and then won in Austria.
