NEWPORT, Wales – Ryder Cup Europe, according to sources who may be all wet, supposedly has decided to hold the 2018 matches in a Borneo rainforest, presumably the same one where Vijay Singh gave cheap lessons during exile.
An Asian billionaire, bidding against himself, has put up $100 million to host the Cup. The matches will be spread out over seven days – a weeklong Festival of Golf, if you will – as a contingency against heavy precipitation.

I just looked up in the largely vacant media center during yet another rain delay and saw, in big and black block letters, “VISIT WALES” on a side booth.

An informant in the U.S. team room just leaked the fact Tiger Woods has flown in the “Sean Foley of table tennis” from Belgium to help him with his backhand in an effort to beat Phil Mickelson in pingpong.
“I won’t be able to sleep at night if I don’t beat him,” Woods said, according to the informant.
The instructor’s name is said to be Jean and include a hyphen.
