Greenbrier, West introduce private-label wine

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va.– The Greenbrier introduced a private-label wine, Trefethen Cabernet Sauvignon, that will be served in the resort’s Prime 44 West restaurant.

Jerry West, the West Virginia legend for whom the restaurant is named, and his wife Karen selected the wine in a blind tasting.

“We love Trefethen wines and think this Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect compliment to the Snake River Wagyu Tenderloin, Milk Fed Veal Chop, Colorado Double Lamb Chops and many of the other entrees on the menu,” West said.

The Wests, family friends of Greenbrier owner Jim Justice, were involved in the design and menu creation of Prime 44 West since its opening was announced in mid-2009.
