Marissa Chow, of Honolulu, has given a verbal commitment to Pepperdine. Chow also made an unofficial visit to UCLA.
“When I visited Pepperdine, I fell in love with the campus, coach, and I really liked the small classes and the tremendous support of the students and staff,” Chow said. “I knew it was where I wanted to go to college.”
Chow said she is especially excited to begin working with head coach Laurie Gibbs.
“I really liked how Coach Laurie focused on the short game and shots inside of a hundred yards,” she said. “Coach Laurie has been supportive since the very beginning, and I love her positive attitude.”
Chow, who attends Iolani High School, logged a top-5 finish at the 2010 Callaway Junior World Championships, and has four career top-5 finishes in AJGA events.
